The first giveaway (yes, I said first, there are more to come...hehehe) is an embellishment package!! I have Karen Foster Loopy Brads and Button Brads, Making Memories Pebble Brads, Rhinestone Flower Gems, and a container of Dazzling Diamonds!!
Make a comment ON THIS POST, and let me know what you are looking forward to in this coming year. I am looking forward to finishing our yard this summer, watching my youngest go to school (more stamping time...LOL), and keeping on track to loose appr. 70 lbs this year. Yes, I typed that out loud. It sucks, but keeping it hidden is just enabling myself to eat.
Here it is, all ready to go!! I will be drawing for this one on Sunday morning, giving 2 days to make sure everyone can get a post in for each one. So, type a story for me below and let's get this party started.
Have fun and happy stamping!!
My goals for 2009 would be to do more scrapbooking than card making. I love to do both but, my scrapbooks are falling behind. Also, I need to get on the weight-loss band wagon as well. About 25-30 lbs. would be great. I think shopping for clothes would be easier if I were in a size or two smaller. (Had a rough day out there looking for some items). Love your blog. Thanks for the chance to win.

I have many goals for 2009 and hope some of them will take place...scrapbooking at least once a month...actually sending the cards that I make...keeping a journal...lose weight...must I go on?? Mainly, I want my daughters to all be happy. My mom used to say you are only as happy as your unhappiest child. My children are all grown now and have some problems that I wish I could solve for them, but I can't...so, I'll just keep praying. Take care, and thanks for the opportunity to win the blog candy.

I have got to get organized!!!!!! My dining room table is 4 feet high, my kitchen table doesn't allow anyone to sit down and eat and my office is about 6 feet high in "stuff"! I have got to get a grip and organize and throw stuff away and make the house presentable again. My hubby just sighs and shakes his head - poor baby. Then when I am finished with all of the above, I will make him tackle the garage - but don't tell him! LOL. Renee

I am going to work on reducing the size of my thighs. I struggle with finding pants to fit because of my thighs. I'm not sure how I'm going to do this... cutting out the cookies will probably help! Thanks for the opportunity to win some blog candy. I enjoy reading your blog.

This year I am looking forward to taking my 7 year old daughter to Disney World for the first time. It will be my husband's first time, too. Their reactions will be fun to see! The fact that we are taking one whole week out of the Michigan January cold helps, too!
I am also on some new migraine medicine, and I have had only 1 headache in the past 3 weeks! I normally have them 3-5 times a week! So, here's looking forward to a healthy, happy year!

First off...love your blog! You have such talent, and are a great inspiration!
Things I'm looking forward to this year are test results telling me this last round of chemo [finally] worked (will find out in a couple weeks). Losing 35 pounds (gained weight while being sick). Enjoying my son, and looking forward to my daughter coming home whenever she can from college.

The thing I am looking forward to the most is getting my little dog Abbey certified as a Therapy Dog. She is a precious dog and I just felt like I should share her to bring smiles to a few faces in her last years on this earth. I am also going to GET ORGANIZED and start having classes in '09. Wish me luck!

I would love to be able to spend more time with the grandkids. They love in DC and I live in Texas, so I see them about 2-3 times a year. That is not enough! But I have a new one on the way who will be a Texan! I'd also like to get my stamp room cleaned, but there is always a project that I am working on. I've also got to get the scrapbooks finished that I am doing for the two new grandbabies. Busy, busy.

Hi Julie,
You and your ideas are great!!!
Let me start off by wishing you and your family the best for 2009!
This year both my husband and I will be continuing our struggle in what has been our 7 year journey, having the chance of becoming parents. Our wish, hope and resolution is to be a mother and father.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our thoughts.

I hope to have my craft room and sewing room organized!. We moved two years ago and I still haven't got it done. I drag my stamping stuff to the dining room table and my DH gets very perturbed with me.
Posted by: Fran Bosse--Canada | January 03, 2009 at 10:32 AM
Julie, I just love your designs. You are so creative. I hope to become as creative as you this year and as organized and disciplined to get in there and work every day (health permitting-I have cancer). It is often a struggle, but I am determined to keep trying no matter what. I want to build my Angel Company business. Thanks for keeping me inspired. Someday this year I would also love to win some blog candy-not as fattening for sure. :)

This year, hubby and I get to look forward to getting our basement back in order. With all the flooding the midwest received in the fall, my poor foundation couldn't handle it!! We've got two huge cracks in the floor and a number of them in the foundation that need to be sealed. That's going to be our major accomplishment of the year, then we can put our walls back up and carpeting back down again! I wish you much luck with your goals for the year!
Happy New Year!!

I am looking forward to moving into our new home that is currently under construction. I will have a craft studio that I can hardly wait for. I am looking forward to a trip to Puerto Rico with my husband as well as a year with no car accidents. I was in 2 last year. Neither one was my fault but both resulted in my vehicle being written off including my brand new car that had replaced my van that was written off. Drive safely everyone!
P.S. Love your blog! :) Happy New Year!

Julie,
I so want to have a room for my Stampin Up. Right now I use my dining room so I didn't have any of the dinners at my house this past holiday season because I didn't want to put everything up. Due to my mother moving to my sisters I now have an empty room..do we know what that means...watch out, it looks like my stamping room is just over the horizon!!! I would love to win this blog candy.

You have some wonderful things to look forward to, Julie. I pray that you'll have the strength you need to accomplish that weight loss goal. (I have lost 30 & what a difference it made!) So... get your mind set & go for it!!! I am looking forward to practicing the organizational tips I've been reading about online & getting rid of stuff I don't need (instead of hoarding it). There are people who could use the things I have been collecting for years & it's time to let it go!

My resolution for this year is to get more organized, both in my personal life as well as my business. I really enjoy your blog and hearing what you are doing. I am hoping that this year I can have more sticktuitiveness than I have in the past for keeping my finances in order and my personal life on track. Like you I need to lose about 70# and I need to exercise more. I want to scrap and craft more and I am starting a blog okienurse.blogspot.com to share what I am doing with friends and family. I have promised myself to learn a new technique every couple weeks this year and to make cards and scrapbook pages every week. Working full time doesn't lend itself to a lot of extra time but Zig Ziglar always said that if you want to get something done give it to a busy person to do.

Hi Julie,
I chose "organization" as my word for this year and I can say that I'm eagerly looking forward to bringing a sense of that into my life this year! I'm creating my own "organized" studio space for working and playing. Most of all, I'm looking forward to finding and expressing joy in my life everyday!

Happy New Year! I'd like to lose about 15 pounds, clean my carpet, maybe start a blog, find a new job, do a better job at cleaning my house, finish the reorganization of my stamp room, and last but not least, stamp more. I'd also like some more Stampin' Up customers. Am I wanting too much??? Love your blog. Cheryl in Reno/Sparks, NV

I'm looking forward to a reunion of "the cousins." We're all 40-75 years of age and have been thinking about this for a long time. We're finally going to do it. I'd like to say I'm going to lose some weight, but I say that every year. It'll happen when the time's right, I guess.

I am looking forward to getting back into our house at the end of January. We have been living in our trailer in our driveway for the last 6 months while we have built a new house. And.................in my new house I have a STAMPING ROOM!!!!!

I too would like to loose fifty pounds. I would say I am looking forward to that, but, I am afraid that I will not do it. I am looking forward to getting my knee replaced. Or at least fixed the ole' one. I look forward to more of your wonderful cards that you do each day and all of your tutorials that you will offer this year. Best of luck to you and GOD Bless

I'm with you on the weight loss! Why does is go on so easily, but take so much work to come off! I'm looking forward to more stamping time -- I hope to start a blog in the next week or so, which should keep me honest about my stamping I'm thinking. I also work overnight as a nurse, so I'm putting much more effort into sleeping (for some that's easy -- for me, it's always been difficult -- I'm shooting for avg. 6-7 hours per night (I'm usually good for 4-5 on average!!). Thanks for sharing! Jeannie

Very cute candy! I mean it really looks like candy! Cool- I'll play. Thanks for the chance! Here goes- I look forward to NOT smoking and therefore coughing my lungs out. I look forward to becoming more of a business SU! demo than a hobby demo. I look forward to seeing my kiddos growing everyday and becoming great young people. I look forward to exuding kindness rather than expecting it! None of that stuff in any specific order! Happy New Year, Julie!

Hi Julie. I'm with you on the weight loss issue! I would like to clear one of the rooms in our house so that we can make an exercise room. We are pastors in Singapore and travel a lot so it is difficult to have a consistent exercise routine or join a gym. I am hoping that an exercise room will keep us motivated! So, that is one of the things I would like to do in 2009. Have a great 2009, Julie. I appreciate looking at your posts and seeing your lovely work. It inspires me!!

Happy New Year, Julie. Thanks for giving us an opportunity to share our thoughts and maybe even get an embellishment package. Here goes:
Yes, yes, of course, I want to lose weight. I am tired of being embarassed by how I look. I am REALLY looking forward to losing part of me. Then I am looking forward to gaining new knowledge, learning new things, and volunteering in whatever small ways I can to help the world recover its equilibrium.
Warm wishes for a wonderful 2009,
Nancy.

Happy New Year Julie! Thanks for this chance to win sweet candy! I'm looking forward to growing more spiritually and spending more time in intercessory prayer. I also want to start exercising...note that I didn't say "look forward to"...ugh! I just know that I should work at being more healthy. Also, I want to "balance" my paper crafting and computer time...and actually spend more time creating cards to share with others.
All the best as you work on your goals...you can do it!
Blessings,
~Brenda H.
