I again want to be the "cool" mom. I have to try 'cause I am SO NOT the "hot" mom...hehehe. So, for Valentine's Day this year, I am again making a candy Valentine. THIS is what I made last year, and here is what I am doing for this year.
How cute is this !?! And so easy, too. All you do it fold the CS, punch out a scallop square, scallop the flap, emboss the heart, punch it out and glue it on. Then you add the candy on the inside, fold it all shut, punch two holes and tie the ribbon through. Ta-Da!!
I will probably not do a ribbon, because I know that will just go in the garbage, but here on the blog, it looks so PURTY!
And yes, I have a template with directions for you ~ YAY!!
Take a 8.5 X 11 sheet of CS, and cut it the way shown at 2 3/4. You will end up with equal pieces with means 4 giftys per sheet! Then, you need to score it, as per lower picture, at 1, 4.5 and 5 inches. Scallop the 1" flap end, if you so desire, and then fold it all together. Put a little baggie of candy inside (I got mine from the $1 store, but you can get glassine bags at All That Scraps). Making sure that the top of the bag is at the top of the CS, punch 2 holes for your ribbon, or staple the flap down. Now the embellishing is up to you. Have fun and happy stamping!!
Thank you for the tutorial. I made some but wider and you can see them on my blog.

Julie, if you have a Scor-Pal, score the CS and scallop the top before cutting in quarters and it will go even quicker!

This is so great!! I just love doing your projects. I also did the purse and I am having trouble with the strap that goes across the top. How did you get yours to stay? Did you fold it or attach it with something. Thanks so much for your wonderful inspiration!!!

Cute project! I'm sure it will be a hit with your child's friends. Just wanted to share that I find it is faster if you score the whole sheet of cardstock before you cut it into four panels. You only have to measure once!! thanks for all the great ideas!
