Today, the challenge at the All That Scraps Forum is to do paper piecing. Did you know you could win a Guest Design Spot, just by playing along ?!? That means free stamps for a month! This is also the project I was talking about HERE. Soon-to-be-brides everywhere, REJOICE!!
You can follow the above tutorial or THIS ONE to make the pouches. Now, I wanted it to be for a wedding favor. I KNOW (as Monica would say)!! I used Amy's Valentine Combo for the stamps, and embossed the cake on vellum, cut it out, colored the back and glued it to the white (on the embossing lines). I roughed up the edges with my cutter kit *love that little tool*, and stamped the sentiment on the bottom. You could even do the new married couples names and the date (Stampin' Up!'s personalized stamps)! You could just do amonogram of the new last name on the front, with the date underneath, so many options. Oh My Gosh, I am so excited about this. Many hands make light work and a few people could make 100 of these in about 1/2 hour!! SERIOUSLY!! One person to score and punch, one to stamp and fold and one to add the baggies on the inside, and staple or tie it shut ~ easy peasy. Have fun and happy stamping!!
Info please on cutter tool.......do not see any reference to the asterick.
thanks
