Wishing you all a glorious Easter Morning! May you enjoy all that God has for you, as you remember the great sacrifice He made.
This was my Mom's Easter card. When I gave it to her, she started crying. I had a feeling why, and then she said "It reminds me of Mom." That was hard to hear, but so true, since that was the EXACT reason, I created the card (Tutorial Here)!!
You see, my Grandmother was a crafty woman. She crocheted, knitted, did needle point, embroidery, painting, you name it. But there was one thing she did we all thought was so cool. All her grand kids would save EVERY foil wrapper from our candy. We just had to give them to her.
She would take all those foils, and carefully straighten them as best she could. Then she would stencil in words of a scripture verse or some German saying on glass from a picture frame. She would then paint the back of the glass white, except where the words were. Then she would lay the foil over top. From the back it looked like a jumble of candy wrappers, but from the front, all you could see was shiny words in all colors of the rainbow. On Father's Day, 2 years ago, she went to be with her Heavenly Father, so I was so excited that this card sparked the same reaction in my mom as it had in me. Have fun and happy stamping!!
beautiful...love it

Happy Easter Julie,
Thank you for sharing that. I love to come across things that remind me of my grandmothers, and also my mum and dad since they've also passed away in the last few years. Isn't it a wonderful thing to know that once we get to heaven, we will be reunited with them. God is good!
Hugs, Anne.
