Well, yesterday went better than expected. Though he did not rule out the "C" word, he said it was very unlikely at Jay's age. But to be sure, he wanted some tests done, as well as tests for other suspicions.
The specialist is not sure what it is, but is leaning toward an ongoing infection (probably months long). He had to have xrays, as well, but he said that had nothing to do with the lump, he just didn't like the sound of his breathing.
I was REALLY PROUD of Jayden, though. He had to have quite a lot of blood taken, and so I told im he was going to have a poke (needle). He hates getting needles, and proceeded to tell me that if they were going to do that, he was going to cry. I said, that's OK, but they do have to poke you. So, we got up in the chair, and I help him on my lap. They got him ready, explaining what they were going to do. I asked him if he wanted me to cover his eyes, and he said no.
HE TOTALLY WATCHED THEM !! He never flinched when they stuck the needle in, never cried, nothing. He was a brave little soldier and he got 2 stickers and a circle band-aid. I won't know anything until Thursday, and I'll be sure to let you know. Thanks for the prayers, I really felt them today as I sat there listening to the doctor, I was not stressed at all. So thanks, again.
Julie, I haven't seen anything since Oct. 26th on Jayden and am just wondering what the latest is from the doctors. I may have missed it, but if you haven't posted it I'm sure there are many of us eager to hear how he is. Alison

Julie Omgosh! What trooper Jayden is. I know I went through that with my daughter Jaime at 3. She kept on having 106° after all the antibiotics he took blood tests. At the time my father was dying of cancer and she had just been diagnosed with Dwayne's syndrome (no periferal vision in her left eye she would look to the left but her left eye stays straight)now he calls me into the office and wants her to be admitted into the hospital immediately because he thought with her white counts being as they were that she had Leukemia...I lost it...Thank goodness it turned out to be tonsils and adnoids....so I know what you are going through and prayer kept us going so keep on believing!
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time!
Keep us posted.
Inky Hugs,
Terry~~

Hi Julie,
I don't usually right but I went through this with my son when he was 3. It sent me for a little loop as I'm sure you know but it turned out to be just a lymph node with nothing special to it. Eventually it shrank and went away but it did take a long time. I can't stress the LONG enough. My son was prone to ear infections and they were hard to heal. They figured it had something to do with that. Good luck and my prayers re with your little boy and your family as well.

Hi Julie, My prayers and heart are with you - even though we've never met. I bought one of your DVD class kits awhile back. I have a 7 year old daughter, and as you described how Jayden reacted to his appt., I could see my little girl there on mine or my husband's lap, and being so brave. My Mommy's heart is with you, but more that that...the Lord's heart is with you every step of the way. The Lord is with you - may He be the lifter of your heart today! Love, Gabrielle Rogers :) P.S. Big hugs to Jayden! :)

Still sayin' prayers all over the place - there's nothing scarier than worrying about your smallie-pies! This'll probably turn out to be nothing more than one of those crazy autumn colds that just sit in the chest. Hang in there and keep us posted! Bren

I didn't see your post yesterday. But I will be praying for good results for Jayden and strength for mommy this week!
My daughter went through testing for Lupus when she was only 20 months old and I had to wait 3 weeks for the results. It was a very long 3 weeks, so I am glad that you will hear something soon.

Hi Julie,
I missed your post yesterday so I wasn't aware of what was happening, but now I know, I will be sure to pray for your family. I'm with you: I believe in God and I believe in the power of prayer.
I hope this verse will encourage you as it encouraged me when my son was almost killed in a car crash: 'I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for Me?' Jeremiah 32:27
