It is that time of the month again ... ... NO, not that time !! The Freaky blog tour is here and so you know you are going to be inspired with a TON of Stampin' Up! only projects.
You may have gotten here via Wendy (did she not have some AMAZING stuff ?!?), or if you clicked in here, no worries. Our hop goes all the way around, so you can start and finish from this point !!
The theme this month was weddings, Mother's Day, florals, etc ~ all things summery and getting us thinking of warmer weather. Well, wedding was easy for me, since my sister just got engaged over Easter.
I designed a wedding invitation and favor using elegant eggplant and white. I kinda went off of the idea in the catalog, since it already had the pocket on it. The front of the invite is embossed with the elegant bouquet folder.
Here is the favor up close and the invite folded open. The ribbon holds it shut for the mailing, and then pocket holds the RSVP card, registry information and you could even slide a photo in here!! Their names were printed on the computer, and I used My Digital Studio to make sure the colors were a match, that is PERFECT !
I had to make a card for the Mom's out there, as well. I wanted something springy and cheerful, so I pulled out my Tea Party DSP, and some of the pink satin. This was pretty straight forward to put together. The stamp is from Well Scripted and the punches are trio flower and pinking hearts from the not-so-mini Catalog. I used textured amethyst CS for my base, so I wanted to leave more open space on the card.
Now, it is time to see more of the show! Click on the picture below for the next stop ...
Tootles, have fun and happy hoppin' !!
Finally getting a chance to properly comment on everyone's creations ... your wedding duo is GORGEOUS!! Your sister is sure to LOVE everything about it!! And the cheerful and springy colors on your Mother's Day card is sure to bring a smile to your mom!! :)

Julie ~ I used your wedding invitation on this post to inspire me to make a card for my workshop. If you decide to look it is the second card on my post.

Love your blog, I havejust recently started folling it. I am relatively new to Stampin' Up and am always looking for ideas. I do have a question about your BEAUTIFUL Mother's Day card; do you put anything behind the brads to cover the prongs? Also, where does the ribbon end, does it go all around the card.
THANKS

Love the favor and the invitation!
I know that this is not related to this post, but I just wanted to tell you how much I love your "No Copics?? No problem!!" tutorial. I have resisted the Copics so far... Today I wanted to color something and was feeling sorry for not having them, and then I remembered your tutorial! I am done coloring, and I love it! I have used it several times before, and every time it makes me fall in love with my SU markers all over again.
Thanks!

Oh, Julie! Your wedding invite is amazing! I just had a customer ask me for the measurements to make this (based on the one she saw in the IB&C. Would you be able to email me the measurements, so I can pass them along to her? I'd be sure to pass along your blog address, too.
Thanks in advance for this help (and for all of your inspiration!).
