I often try to CASE people I admire... I tend that once I get crafting again... the MOJO reappears. Difficult part will be that I often CASE you and that is just not going to help you:) teehee

Stacy I.

I've been struggling with this myself on and off for years, but I am not willing to give up stamping. So my mojo runs hot and cold. I've noticed that Spring and Summer are especially hard times to find inspiration as my stamp area is in a windowless basement and I'd rather be outside. There are several discussion threads on this subject on SplitCoastStampers, so check those for ideas. Overall, I find that the best remedy is to promise myself that I'll stamp for at least an hour and if it's not working, I can quit. If the ideas do start flowing then great! It's a "Just do it" sort of philosophy. I also allow myself a break for a week or so now and then. Sometimes it's helpful to just straighten up my work area and I'll find things I'd forgotten about and get inspired.

Good luck and I'd love to hear what helps you get your mojo back!

I recently picked up Go To Sketches, a special issue from Paper Crafts. I really thought it was the best magazine I've picked up in years. Made me want to run down and break into my supplies. Sometimes it's good to make something that doesn't take too much brain power.

Also, maybe doing something for someone else to use like cards to contribute to the soldiers or Ronald McDonald house? Something you can keep simple and understated but gets you the craft time you need.

HTH! Have a good holiday weekend. The invites were GORGEOUS but I can see where you'd be a bit burned out.

I always sort through my stash. Something will strike you!

Hey Julie... I hope you catch up to your mojo quicker than I have... Last SPRING I made the invites and then wedding favours for my girlfriend's wedding, followed by my mass production of Christmas cards. By the time I finished those I was SPENT! I am still chasing my mojo around town trying to get motivated.... One thing that helped me was what someone else suggested- trying something diffferent. I am a card maker, but last month went to my first scrapbook retreat (whole weekend- like yours, minus the scenery!). It helped out quite a bit- now I need to find the time to do it!!!
Good Luck!

I make card backgrounds by using Glimmer Mist, so I'm all set for my next inspiration time. That reminds me that I need to make some more now also...Happy papercrafting-just love your results.

Try a new technique! Something with a bit of pizzaz. I would imagine you know quite a few but how bout soot stamping, or alcohol inks on glass medical slides, or fun foam, shrinky dinks or different style of card easel card etc...I have heaps of ideas my problem is finding time to be alone in the studio. :)Have a great weekend
