I decided to stamp a bit today, and checked out the new sketch posted at CPS.
I made mine a 5 X 5 square card, and used Jolly Holiday DSP (#117159) as my inspiration for the colors. The sentiment and holly stamps are from the Bells & Boughs set (#121142, clear - #120831, wood), and they were both colored with the cherry cobbler and old olive markers. I used my 1 3/4 circle punch (#11980) to add the 3 scallops on the edge and then faux pierced with my early espresso marker. The sentiment was punched out with the Decorative Label (#120907) and then matted on espresso. I hand cut the mat and used dimensionals to add it to the card. The narrow espresso ribbon (#119959) was the perfect finishing touch. Tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!
Fabulous card! Love the papers you used, and the scalloped border! Great job with the CPS sketch this week! ♥♥♥

Love the traditional green and red. You should be called the scissor queen ... that is one honkin' good job at cutting the mat for the decorative label!

Hi, Julie - A beautiful card and I love the deep scallop you got with the 1-3/4 inch punch...I just don't understand 'how'! I know if the piece to be punched is 1-3/4 inch wide, one end can be inserted in such a way that just the end will be rounded. But your green mat piece appears to be one large piece. As I'm typing, this occurred to me - did you slice the green piece into thirds, leaving a left margin intact, and then punch the half circle ends? (The matted focal piece would hide the cuts.) If not, do you have a tutorial explaining how to do this? I also have the same question Colleen has about the perfect piercing. So glad that you're making the time and effort to stamp. I hope it lifts your spirits. You're in my prayers.
