I took the newest sketch from Clean and Simple for this card. I also used one of the latest techniques fom SCS on this, as well.
Instead of using patterned paper, I took plain white CS and used the direct to paper technique for the color. What you do is drag your inkpad across the white CS. I found I had to drag it numerous times to get the right color, though I do like the white showing through in some places.
I then used the same technique to add black to the edge of the flowers. After that, I ran them through the vintage wallpaper embossing folder before putting them together with a black brad. I added the ribbon to cover the place where my ink blended, since the bright purple that came up didn't match ... LOL.
I matted the white (now colored) CS on the black and attached it to the front of the card. Finally, I used my paper piercer to add some accents along the black. I stamped the sentiment in black to not take away from the technique. Imagine the colors and the possibilities - IDEA GALLERY. Tootles, have fun and happy stamping!!
