I could not sleep (too much ) , so I decided to stamp. Lucky for you, but not so great for me.
- I am tired.
- I did this ...
An (almost) full bottle of crystal Stickles exploded while I was trying to use it. I nearly cried as all that glitter blew up all over my work station - was kinda pretty though ... lol.
My card was inspired by my SIL. She embosses on almost every card she makes, and so I created this with her in mind.
Simple, yet a lot going on here. I embossed the tree from lovely as a tree (stamped and embossed with white). The sentiment was added and also embossed. This was all done on certainly celery CS and the added to the white card base. I then torn some shimmery white CS to add as a snowy accent.
I covered the tree and edge of the torn CS in Crystal Stickles from a NEW bottle, and added the rhinestone "star" to the top of the tree. In this photo, you can see a bit more of the glitz and shimmer. I really like the stark green background (soooo hard for me not to add some falling snow), but I think it works.
"Merry" card making this evening. Have fun and happy stamping !!
Beautiful card. Simple yet elegant at the same time! I love the stickles but I have had a couple bottles to explode and I have no idea why. One of those mysteries of nature! Thanks for sharing!

Wow that bottle did explode, I thought you were going to say you made something out of the mess it created :) Lovely, peaceful card!

Love the card. Simple, but elegant! I can never get stickles to come out of the bottle right. I usually just put some on a paper towel and use a brush to apply them to my card/project. Works for me. :) Thanks for sharing your project and accident. Hugs!!

Stickles can be temperamental, but I haven't had a bottle explode before. You can pull off the top with a pair of pliers and then scoop the stickles back in. When I took my Stickles on the plane once, I had to do this for all the bottles because the pressure change made them all ooze out the nozzle (even when I took them in carry on).
Your perseverance was worth it - your card is gorgeous!

Pretty card, Julie! Like the emb, sparkly tree. :) One time a bottle of my Stickles let out a "poof" when I opened it and a BIG amount "globbed" fell out onto my card. Just yesterday, one bottle had lots of bubbles in it. Go figure. OH, if you use any Ranger distress Stickles, beware. I've noticed that a lot at once (even w/a "gentle" squeeze) comes out.
