The theme Lindsey picked for this Stamping Friends Reunion week was a generic thank you card, and I was pretty happy to oblige ! I also wanted to do something a little fancier and this fit the bill perfectly.
I went back to my first love, and pulled out the cutter kit for this card ! I love how the roughed up edges look on this card, especially with these earthy colors. I used pool party, island indigo, lucky limeade and crumb cake. I also love the touch of the paper piercing along the bottom edge. The linen ribbon, is a match for the crumb cake. I used the large oval and the modern label punches for the sentiment. The paper piercing on the edge of the oval is a unifying accent.
I cut out the Flower Fusion and Little Leaves to create the focal point on the card. I used a paint brush in the ink to color the edges and then added Champange dots to the center. I really like how it turned out, and am excited to keep plugging along. Remember, if you load your card to Splitcoast, use the keywords SFR3 and post a link back here to your blog, so we can check it out. Don't forget to go see Lindsey's card, too !
Here is the link to last weeks challenge SFR2. Go check them out, or better yet, join us and yours could be there !! Have fun and happy stamping!!
