As another Stamping Friends Reunion dawns, Lindsey decided to have another valentine waiting for you and I fully agreed. The day is near and we felt it needed another take. So here is my card for this weeks SFR5 Valentine Challenge.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS !!! I wanted a light, soft and airy feel to my card, and I think I pulled it off. Would this even work for a baby girl card, do you think ?? I used some Basic Grey patterned paper and pulled a Prima flower out of a box to add one to the front, a Martha Stewart punch for the ferns, and a SU punch for the leaves.
There is not a stamp that made its way on to this card, but I pulled out my Stampin' Up! rub ons from the "olden days", and used it for the sentiment. It is so old it is cracked, but I think it added to the overall feel.
This card is for my first Mother-In-Love, Russ' mom. She was just diagnosed with the same cancer that Russ died from, but just a little more complicated. It was causing clots and they had to amputate her leg yesterday afternoon. This has opened up some not quite healed wounds for the boys and I, and we would covet your prayers, as well as for Mom and the rest of the Buhler family.
Thanks for visiting, and make sure you head over to check out Lindsey's amazing card. Post a link here to your card, or upload to Splitcoast with the keyword SFR5. Here is lasts weeks SFR4 gallery. Have fun and happy stamping !!
A very pretty and special card. Praying for you all too.
