Well, another Stamping Friends Reunion challenge is upon us and we are excited about this one ... a sketch !! I got busy making a few up, and Lindsey chose the first one. Here is the sketch we went with.
I really liked this one, too, and was kinda glad she chose it, because it was the first one I came up with ... lol. I decided to make a card for my other Mother-In-Love, John's mom. She is scheduled for a gall bladder surgery and so I wanted to let her know we are thinking of her as well.
Absolutely fell in love with the patterned paper (K&Company mat pack), and thought it would be perfect for this sketch. Flowers on one side, and clean on the other for the sentiment layer. The base of the card is very vanilla, and the mat layer is always artichoke. I used the eyelet punch for the bottom and then trimmed it with pearls and the pink satin ribbon. This was the adhered to the card with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from Blessings From Heaven, and I used the marker to color only 3 words of it in Espresso. I stamped it off once before I put it on to the card stock and punched with the oval, layering it on the artichoke scalloped oval. This was also added with dimensionals.
I really like how the card turned out, lovely and feminine. Go and check out what Lindsey did with the sketch, try your hand at it too! We'd love to have you join us, so leave a link here to your card, or post it on Splitcoast with the keyword SFR7 (yes we are SEVEN weeks in !!). Have fun and happy stamping !!
