Thanks for all the comments on our family pictures in my last post, we are enjoying being together ! Today, for our Stamping Friends Reunion 6, we decided to do a card for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day. I myself do not have one stamp set for this "holiday", but my Dad's cousin Mary ( )asked for a a paint chip card, and that gave me an idea.
I went to Home Depot and picked up a rainbow of paint chips (other cards, other ideas), and used one of my green ones for this card. I punched out 4 hearts each each of the colors on the green strip, and glued them on to the white to make my 4-leaf clover. I punched them out with my 1 1/4 square, and then rounded each opposite corner, doing the same to the base layer and card. I then used the sentiment from Sincere Salutations for the final touch. Clean and simple, with the squares attached with dimensionals.
The funny thing was, after I punched out the first 2 colors, I noticed the name on the last paint chip ...
Could not have been anymore perfect !! Don't forget to head over and see Lindseys' gorgeous card, and check out last weeks SFR5 gallery on Splitcoast. If you play along, post a comment here or upload at Splitcoast with the keyword SFR6. Have fun and happy stamping !!
Beautiful card, Julie. I spent 2 days last weekend making paint chip cards - really happy with what I got done.
It was great chatting with you here in my country !!

Funny story. Sometimes we're just drawn to the right things. I love the card. Now I too know how to make a 4 leaf clover. Thanks!

Now aren't you the clever one! Great idea. I have down loaded on my Kindle a book called Making Upcycled Cards that also uses paint chips. I haven't made any cards yet but now you've got me excited about it! Fun card. Thanks!
