I have been seeing what's called a "card-in-a-box" all over Pinterest, and had to try it for my self. essentially, it is a box card, that easily folds flat for mailing, and it is AWESOME in my humble opinion. It would be great for kids and adults alike, but the one I made up, is for boys.
I used an old "Creative License" Simply Scrappin' kit, since it comes with a ton of perfectly coordinated stickers for embellishing. The only stamp I used was for the happy birthday sentiment. I used the tutorial on Splitcoastand it was pretty good. I though, am going to make another because I found it a little hard to follow, and thought of some tips that should really be incorporated, as well, for a better end product. Have fun and happy stamping!!
Holy crapssticks, Julie! That's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!!! :D

This is great! Looking forward to your version of the instructions. I have tried to make one in the past and failed miserably.

Love it! I have made a couple of these, but your idea to use old simply scrappin' kits for this project is genius!

Hi Julie,
Love your version of the Card-in-a-box. I've been seeing them too, and am planning on trying to make one. I think placement of the embellishments would be important for the look and the ability to close it for giving. I would love to see a tutorial and whatever tips you had in mind to make it easier, and with a better end result.
Crafty Hugs,
Linda

Great job! I've seen these as well and have thought about trying to make one but haven't attempted it yet... Will you be creating your own, easier to follow tutorial with the extra tips that you though of? :-)
