That is text I received from my bestie when I showed her my latest creation, and now for Y'ALL to see.
Well, I hope you like it. I have to say, I am a bit rusty, and my photography skills need a bit of sharpening, but I am back at it and that is what counts, right ?!?
Well, let's dive right in! The base is elegant eggplant measuring 5.5 X 4.25, and the next layer up is perfect plum the same size. After I ran it through my Big Shot in the (retired, oops) folder, I cut it to be 5.25 X 4, gluing it on with my most beloved Tombow Mono Multi.
Creating the focal layer, I cut a piece of white to 2.75 X 4, and stamped the largest flower image from Just Believe, first in plum and then eggplant. I then attached it to a 3 X 4.25 eggplant layer and with my trusty piercing tool, made a border around the white edges only.
I tied a ribbon (also retired) around the card and then used dimensionals to attach the floral centerpiece. I then used the new Labels Collection Framelits to cut my sentiment eggplant layer. I stamped the sentiment, from Apothecary Art, in plum on white, cutting out on the first line and then used the 1" circle punch to punch out the eggplant center. This was attached with a dimensional, as well.
Finally, I added the butterfly, punched from cardstock weight vellum, and glued only the center down. after it dried, I folded up the wings and added some rhinestones for bling. Pretty pumped for my first card in over a year!!
Mostly, thanks for sticking with me through it all, as I try to get back into the hobby that kept me sane. Have fun and happy stamping !!
