Coloring Digi Stamps

With just a few clicks, you can custom color the Encouraging Verses stamps to match any card you may make.  This first part is for Adobe Photoshop, but if you know your own program well enough, you should be able to figure it out, through the steps I have here.

 

Open your desired stamp in the photoshop program and click on the paint can application.

 

Now, choose the color that you want to use.  The color choice box may be on the top of the screen, as well.

 

Now, click your paint can on the letters that you want to change.  Done.

 

Here I colored the eagle blue with the paint can.  Inside some of the closed letters (like the a, o, g, etc), it will stay grey, but just click inside each of them, and it will be blue, too.  Now print on your CS, and you are ready to put it on your card!

 

This is what it looks like in the Paint program on Windows.  On the bottom of your screen, you will find a color bar.  If you double click it, it will bring up a window for more color choices.  Then, you use the paint can symbol, as well, to color everything in.  Hope this helps, have fun and happy stamping!!

Like A Tree

   Here is another card I made with my Encouraging Verses set (now available).  I printed the image on white CS, and then used my Copics to lightly color over the tree, getting some darker colors for shading.  I used my cutter kit to distress the edges, and matted it on the black.  This black piece was 3 7/8 X 2 3/4 before I punched it (Tutorial HERE).  I did the corners first, and then lined it up from there.  I added the side panels and the flower brads on my base, and them mounted my image with dimensionals.  This is the sketchover at Splitcoast this week.

  And this is the inside of my card.  I colored the words in green (with different fonts) to match the front of the card.  How cool is that??

Digital Stamps ~ Tutorial

You love the new images, but have NO IDEA how to go about working with them.  Or even getting them on your computer,  Have no fear, your techtard Julie is here.  This is going to be a long one, so buckle in.  It really only takes a few click (so moments of time), but I wanted to show it step by step, so that you could use them AS SOON as you get them!!  This should work for most digi stamp files, not just mine.  Click on the pictures, if you need them bigger.

 

First off, you are going to need a folder to store your digi images in.  So, you need to right click on your desktop.  Go to NEW and then to FOLDER (where you need to click with be highlighted throughout the duration of the tutorial).  Click on it.

 

It will open a folder, and you can name it Paper Pleasing Stamps.  Then you will always know where they are.

 

When you get your email from All That Scraps (it only takes MINUTES to have your stamps after you buy them), you will same the attachment to the folder you just created.  I'm not exactly sure what the name of the file will be, but something like pictured above.  You will notice the zipper on the file.  This means the all the information in the file has been compacted to email it to you.  Now we need to "unzip" it.

 

Now, you can right click on the zipped folder, and click on the "Extract All" in the drop down menu.

 

You are going to get a screen like this to come up.  Click on next.

 

When the screen changes, click on Browse, and then find your Paper Pleasing folder.  Highlight it, and then click OK.

 

It will take less than a second to extract the images, and then click finish.

 

All the images will be in the file now!!  You can go ahead and print them off, and put them on a card.  They will print off at the original size of 2 X 3, but you can enlarge them if you want them bigger.  I know this looks like a lot of steps, but it really only takes a minute!  Get yours HERE.

I am so excited to release these images to you, and I hope you are, too!!  There are 7 stamps in all, but they have so many uses, more than I could share in one post.  Here are some things that you could do.

 

Here are some of the different things you can do with digital stamps.  Some were enlarged, color, cut away words, etc.  I have made sure they were created with enough resolution that you could enlarge them without getting fuzzy.  In the second picture, I printed off the one image on 8.5 X 11 CS, and it is just as clear as the original!!  You could print one off, put it in a nice frame, decorate and hang on the wall.

SECRET REVEALED !!

I am pleased to announce...

 

I loved creating digitally, love to be on the computer, PERIOD, and am always coming up with stuff to print on my cards (inside).  Combined with everyone's recent comments on This Post, I decided to make a digital stamp set that was Biblically based.  Introducing " Encouraging Verses".

All the verses in this set are meant to lift someone up, if they are having a bad day, week, year, etc.

The lily is one of the images combined with a verse, BUT I cut away the words, and just used the lilies for the front of my Double Pocket Bag.

 

And this is the Challenge for the All That Scraps design team today!  I followed THESEinstructions, and just decorated the front.  I colored my lilies with Copics (looking a bit more watercolored), and added the butterflies that were punched with the Martha Stewart punch.  Remember, if you play along with the challenge, you could end up being a Guest Designer for a month!!

Prayer Box

Encouraging Verses ~ NOW AVAILABLE !!

The Technique challenge on Splitcoast yesterday was to make an origami box.  I want to start playing more in the challenges again, so I got to work.

   

This is the outside of the box.  I found this gorgeous Filigree Corner DP at All That Scraps, and I did not want to cover it!  Instead, I added stickles to the flowers, so they would really stand out.  I used the instructions posted in the link above.  Now for another peek of a secret...

Another image!  This is a prayer box.  You write down things that need payer, and as time goes on, you can see how God met your need!  I love this verse, and I really like the praying hands behind the words.  The inside of the box is about 4 1/4 X 4 1/4.

I added the prima hydrangeas for something special, since I left the front unadorned.

Encouraging Verses - NOW AVAILABLE !!

I really LOVE this card.  I like how everything came together with the POP of the riding hood red.  The DP is from All That Scraps(Sassafras Lass), and the grey Ruche CS is from WorldWin Paper (LUXURIOUS!!).  The ric rac is an awesome black velvet, and I keep touching it on my own card!  The flowers are Pretties that I colored with my ruby red marker, and then ran my aqua painter over certain areas to get the variation.  There is a half pearl from the Pretties kit in the white one, but the black ones are Dew Dropsthat I colored with my black Copic.  I added the black brad, roughed and tore up a lot of the edges, and did some faux stitching with my going grey marker.
