Emboss It!

Don't have the Manhattan folder yet, but you do have the Fifth Avenue Floral set?  Why don't you try what Patti did...

  She stamped the large rose, and embossed it.  This created the detail she needed to cut around.  Can you imagine how amazing this would look with gold on elegant eggplant, or silver on night of navy?

So Perfectly Cute!

I noticed quite a few links to a particular post on my blog and decided to check it out.

Tanja, made this adorable box, and I think the image she chose goes SO WELL with the basket.

Head over to her blog and check out views from all the angles.  If you are English, you probably won't be able to read anything, but she has some really cute stuff on there.  I LOVED this card, so detailed but fun at the same time.

  Isn't this a cute box?  Kris made this by using my card purse tutorial, but she left off the handles.  Why not, it stays closed on it's own, and it looks good standing there!

Hokey Freakin' WOW

That is all I could say.  The cards I saw were so beautiful, and were done is a way I honestly never thought of!  What am I talking about??  OK, well this stamp set,

 

were used to make these cards.

 

 

 

I was totally freakin' out when I saw these.  I even asked her where she got that lovely rose stamp and everything ?!?  Bonnie, a member of my classes made them, and when she told me it was Fifth Avenue Floral, I almost didn't believe her. 

For those that are going to ask (I know you...hehehe), she stamped on the colored CS and then shaded with pencil crayons, as in Laurentian.  She did the highlighting by erasing in some areas.  The leaves were stamped from the now retired Wild Roses stamp set.  She did say it was a lot of work, not something she would do for a craft sale, but perfect for Mother's day.

She Got It !!

Diane Lapointe emailed me, so excited.  She even commented in this post how she "got" my tutorial and that she figured out how to make the box.  She was so pumped, I decided to show her how awesome it is - I'M POSTING IT HERE!!

OK - can I just type something through my *happy tears*?

  This is the one of the many reasons why I love doing my blog.  I absolutely {heart} the emails that I get from those of you who try something new or have held off until you see something and decide to FINALLY go for it.  I am completely astonished when I get an email like I got today, and yet, so excited cause I helped someone - YAY!  That is what I totally LOVE about stamping - sharing my addiction...hehehe.

Which reminds me - I met an awesome PHONE friend in the city today.  We chat often, and she only lives about 1 hour from me, so when  she said she was coming in - I was all "Woohoo, I'm on my way!!"

Don't mind the goon that is me, I shoulda snagged someone in the parking lot to take our picture.  It seemed appropriate that Amy and I would meet at the M word store, since we are both addictedd to the paper crafting phenomenon that is called stamping.  In fact, she was also meeting someone else to get her new stamp storage system (I AM TOO JEALOUS)!

Next time, Amy, we are doing coffee - and I will NOT have my boys with me...LOL
