Weekend Getaway #3

WOW - what a GLORIOUS weekend I had.  Lots of great ladies, phenomenal food, and tons of crafting was done.

Here was all the ladies that were there, minus our fabulous masseuse (she is taking the picture).  This is the annual picture that HAS to be taken, so that we can all have a picture for the books!

Here is everyone hard at PLAY !!  I am standing on the second floor balcony, and this was the floor where we slept.  Below me, to the right, is where we did our eating.  The whole weekend, you do not have to leave that building.  We were up by 9, and many of us were busy until 2 am !!  We are serious about having a good time ... LOL.

This was dessert on Saturday night ~ cheesecake in pure chocolate cups, covered with fresh strawberries and drizzled with more chocolate.  Absolutely DIVINE !!
 

Here I am enjoying the sunshine, and being surrounded by craft supplies.  I brought mostly new stamps to use (summer mini), and used every single stamp set that I brought!!  I got 13 cards done, but 2 did not even come home with me.  No worries, though, I do have pictures of them.  Here is one last picture for you ...

3rd Annual Stamp and Scrap Weekend !!

Well, it is a spring retreat this year, and it is almost full !!

We are heading again to Camp Kadesh, about 1.5 hours north of Saskatoon, SK. 

This is where we will be playing!  A four storey lodge that overlooks the lake ~ MASSIVE.  Surrounded by trees, deer walking by, the lake at your door, what a place to go scrapbooking / stamping / crafting for a weekend!

• Dates : April 30, 2010 @ 7pm to May 2, 2010 @ 2 pm
• Cost : $120 per person ($40 non-refundable deposit due immediately, paid in full by April 2oth)

Q and A Session

I have had A LOT of comments and emails regarding THIS POST, and I decided to try and answer a few of them.

NO - there is no official website for the Stamp and Scrap Weekend Getaway. 

YES - you will definitely know about the next one.

WHY - Because I AM the Stamp and Scrap Weekend Getaway.  The reason is that I wanted to get away, but didn't want to go by myself...hehehe.  So, I formed the weekend retreat, not for sales or for classes, but for women to get away, relax and do what we LOVE to do for a whole weekend with no interruptions.  I reserve a time slot at a lodge that is actually a Bible Camp during the summer.  That means there is LOTS of room for crafting and such.  It is just north of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, only 2 hours north of Saskatoon.

So, when I get the next one up and ready, keep clicking here, because the information will be on this blog first thing!  We may have another in spring.

Stamp and Scrap Fall 2008

 

Here are all the wonderful ladies I spent my weekend with.  We had such a great time, and some of them worked really hard.  One gal was stamping for craft sales and she finished over 110 cards!!!  The most scrapbook pages that I heard were completed was 24.  WOW - for some of them it was a very successful weekend.  Me - I talk too much...LOL.  I am always stuck at home, don't really go for coffee and such, so for me it was all about female companionship for a whole weekend.  Yes, I finished 21 cards, but 16 of them are almost the same.

Can you believe that you can have an entire weekend away, you don't lift a finger except on your own projects, cuisine that is to die for, all for only $120 ?  You can't even get one night in a hotel for that little, and you haven't even paid for food yet!!

 

This is where we spread out all of our gear, and got to work.  As you can see, we definitely had room for more!!  I also invited a massage therapist to work wonders on the women - she took a few shots of herself with my camera.

 

She has the greatest touch in the world : She is my personal masseuse and a great friend!

Here is one more picture for you viewing pleasure.  This is what we are surrounded by out there.  It is so peaceful, that should you decide to go for a walk, this is part of the scenery you would see.
