Isn't this amazing?!? I love the Thomas Kinkade paintings, so when I saw that I could buy a stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms, I just had to have one. Shipping was SOOO fast to Canada, I got it in less than a week!!
I tried watercoloring - 3 different times to be exact. It must take A LOT of practice, because I cannot get it right. It is so detailed that the coloring has to be precise. I decided then to go with a monotone card, in my new FAV color combo, soft sky, blue bayou, and white.
I stamped my Foxglove Cottage stamp in bayou on the sky, matting it on the white. I wrapped the white organdy, and the sky ribbon (Texas jodylynn's swap) around the bottom. I stamped the sentiment (warm words) on white in bayou, and punched it out with my small oval. I sponged the ege in sky before matting it to the bayou that I punched with the large oval. I attached this to the card with silver brads. Next time, I will be using hodge podge, but since this was my first card, I was still experimenting.
I sponged my bayou base edges with the matching ink, and then mounted the image panel onto it with dimensionals. All done, and I like the results. I will have to play with the watercoloring some more, so until then, I will have a lot of monotone cards. Have fun and happy stamping!
