I love the Whiff of Joy images, especially Willow - Oh My Gosh, she is drawn so beautifully!! I wish I had her hair *sigh*. But back in the real world, I will settle for coloring it in. I finally got the Hot Chocolate image from All That Scraps, and I think it is one of the most popular images.
I kept the card pretty simple, since I wanted the image to be front and center, considering it took FOREVAH to color it. I used Copics again, and was really working hard on the shading. I don't think it turned out too bad, but I still am not satisfied. Back to the coloring board. When it was done, I matted it on soft sky Cs (retired - SU).
The base is white with some of the newest SU patterned paper on it, Candy Lane (available December 23!). Then I took another strip of white, used my cutter kit *love that little tool* to distress the edges and adhered it to the card. I used my black SU marker for the faux stitching.
The sentiment is from Amy's Christmas Sentiments set, and that was stamped in black, as well. The Heidi Swapp snowflake was added with dimensionals, and then the bling added on top with a glue dot. It used to be a clear brad, but I cut off the arms on the back. Then I colored the gem with the same color as her shirt, so it would perfectly match the card.
That's it, so simple, but it makes me want to crawl into a warm sweater and grab a cuppa. Yep, this morning started out with a windchill of -50C or -58F. This cold snap is just not leaving, so I think there will be many evenings around the fire with a warm, steamy mug filled with hot chocolate and a hint of Baileys ... mmmm, mmmm, mmmm.
Have fun and happy stamping!!
