My friend Amy!! She is due in August, so I thought I'd use today challenge to make her a card. We had to make a tag for our card, but not the traditional tag shape and not premade. I think it turned out rather *CUTE*. All products Stampin' Up! unless otherwise indicated.
OK, first off, I *need, not want* to get the swell news set from SU. I have a few friends pregnant right now, and while this Micheals stamp works, SU quality is much higher and there is more detail. But this is what I have now, so this is what I made. I took my color combo from the Holiday Thyme Designer Paper (DP), since I had some left. It is double sided and the other side is snowflakes, and I don't think I'll be using that for awhile. So the colors I took are close to cocoa, old olive, and bashful blue. I stamped the alphas from the I'm Here set on the cocoa. I used very vanilla for the main image and the tag. I stamped the girl, coloring her in with my watercolor pencils and the blender pens. I stamped the border in cocoa on the vanilla and the baby in blue, both from the SAB Noteworthy set last year. I wrapped the gingham ribbons around and attached the tag with the wire works. I distressed the main image with the cutter kit *love that little tool* and then mounted it on dimensionals to the old olive . This was matted to the blue and then attached with dimesionals again to the card.
Try making a tag from any shape. Be it circles, squares, stars, or even hearts - good for Valentines day. Have fun and happy stamping!!

Cute card - love it. You know; i completely forgot about that Holiday Thyme paper - that _some_ of it isn't holiday-oriented. i think i still have some of it left but i just tucked it away to save for next winter. You've reminded me that there are still some sides of the paper i could be using now!!
